Mary Ann Sullivan

Mary was born about 1845 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England.¹

Birth Notes
- Mary Ann's surname is mistranscribed as Trilman in the 1851 census for Thomas Poole/Jane Sullivan. She is described on the image as wife's illegitimate daughter, this description again badly transcribed.
  
  The birthplace shown as Ipswich, Suffolk is suspect. Free BMD produces no Sullivan births for Suffolk in the year range 1843-1846. Given that mother's wedding registered at Bridgend, Wales 1847, first child of marriage born at Wick, Glamorgan, possibly a prior birth at Wick has been reported in census as Ipswich.
  
  A Mary Sullivan birth reg Newport Monmouthshire 1845 Q1 v26 p109 has a slim chance of being the fit.

Mary's father is <Unknown> and her mother was Jane Sullivan. Her maternal grandparents were Martin Sullivan and Anne Glasse. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Charles Thomas, Albert Edward, Ann, Elizabeth C, Catherine and Ada Jane. Mary is no longer alive.
