Eliza was born in 1814.  Eliza's father was William Sedgbeer and her mother was Mary Bryant.  Her paternal grandparents were John Sedgbeer and Joan Thorne. She had a brother and two sisters, named William, Sarah and Ann.  She was the youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 87 in 1901.
