William Thomas POOLE

William Thomas was born about August 1887 in Barton Regis Bristol.¹ William Thomas' father was Charles Thomas POOLE and his mother was Emma Amelia Godwin. His paternal grandparents were Thomas POOLE and Jane Sullivan; his maternal grandparents were Frederick George Godwin and Maria Hawker. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Albert Charles, George Henry, Frederick John, Charles Francis, Nelly , Edith Maud and Beatrice Ethel. He was the third oldest of the eight children.
