Mary was born on November 1st, 1814 in Exford, Somerset, England and her baptism took place on November 6th, 1814 in Exford, Somerset, Parish Church.1 2   Mary's father was HUGH POOLE and her mother was MARY HOOPER.  Her paternal grandparents were James Poole and MARY Westarn; her maternal grandfather is JOHN HOOPER and her maternal grandmother was MARY SULLEY. She had six brothers and three sisters, named James, John, Hugh, William, Thomas, Hugh, Sarah, JANE and Elizabeth.  She was the fourth oldest of the ten children.  She died about February 1895 in Wick, Glamorgan, Wales.3
