Sarah was born about 1829 in Knowstone, Devon and her baptism took place there on October 26th, 1829.1 2   Sarah's father was John Mogford and her mother was Sarah. She had three brothers and two sisters, named William, Thomas, James, Elizabeth and Mary.  She was the youngest of the six children.  She died in 1884.2
