Willie Fairfax was born about 1874 in Slough, Buckinghamshire, England.¹ Willie Fairfax's father was Handsworth Abraham Slade Howell and his mother was Betsey NEWTON. His paternal grandparents were William A. Slade Howell and Betsy Pine; his maternal grandparents were James NEWTON and Grace Newton.
