Pleasant was born in 1879. Pleasant's father is William Harrison Oliver and his/her mother is Katharine (Catherine?) Wilhelmina Gerholdt. His/her maternal grandparents were Johann (Frederick) Friedrich Gerholdt and Elanor (Ellen) Drake (Droke?). He/she has two brothers and seven sisters, named Freddie, William Earl, Bertha, Maude, Edith, Grace, Anna, Addie and Iva Ellen. He/she is the second oldest of the ten children.
