John David Gerholdt

John David was born on May 22nd, 1854.  John David's father was Johann (Frederick) Friedrich Gerholdt and his mother was Elanor (Ellen) Drake (Droke?).  His paternal grandparents were Johann Gottlob Joachim Goerhold and Marie Elisabeth Sandnerin. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Daniel, Jacob B, Charles, Peter D, George Washington, Andrew Jackson, Katharine (Catherine?) Wilhelmina, Elisabeth, Rebecca and Susenna (Susan).  He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He had a half-sister named Mary Ellen.  He died at 9 months old on March 20th, 1855.
