August Gerholdt
August was born in 1870. August's father was Wilhelm (William) Goerhold (Gerholdt) and his mother is Rachel Vandergrift. His paternal grandparents were Johann Gottlob Joachim Goerhold and Marie Elisabeth Sandnerin. He had two sisters named Mary Elizabeth and Harriet. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 73 on November 8th, 1943.General Notes

According to 1910 Morgan Co Indiana census, August at age 39 is a farmer and is supporting his mother Rachel in her 60s (difficult to read), who lives with him. Does not appear to have married.
1920 census age 49 still supporting mother age 74. No other occupants. Farmer.
1930 census, age 59, August appears to live alone. Employed as farmer in a stock yard.
