She had five brothers and seven sisters, named José Tomaz (Sizinho), Luiz Tomaz Pereira, Raimundo Tomaz Pereira, Antônio Tomaz Pereira, Joaquim Pereira, Antônia Ildefonsa (Antoninha), Alvira Pereira, Filocelina Pereira (Filó), Ana Pereira (Nitinha), Margarida Pereira (Guidinha), Maria Augusta Pereira (Mariquinha) and Zelinda Pereira.  She died at the age of 87 on November 18th, 2008.
