Rosa was born on March 30th, 1921.  Rosa's father was Domingo Riga and her mother was Raymunda Lopez Caparroz.  Her maternal grandparents were Antonio Lopez and Juana Caparroz.  She is the oldest of eleven children.  She had four brothers and six sisters, named Domingo, Angel, Eduardo, Jose, Blanca, Clara, Clara, Dora, Maria and Susana.
