Popeye was born on April 14th, 1941.  He died at the age of 30 on February 13th, 1972.  The funeral took place in Gasch's Funeral Home in Hyattsville Maryland.  His burial was in Fort Lincoln, Bladensburg, Md..

  • My father died when I was ten years old. The cause of death was from a gunshot to the head. He lived for three days in hospital. The hospital was John Hopkins Shock Trauma Unit in Baltimore Maryland. For most of his adulthood he was an a Alcoholic. Alcoholism was the major factor that contributed to his death.
