...... The church was located at 15th and Ogden Streets in Philadelphia and was started in 1860. The actual church building was completed and dedicated in 1867 at that site. I t was a German speaking Lutheran congregation. St. Johannis was condemned in May 1945 and the congregation moved to the the current location in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia. ....
