James was born on June 12th, 1806.  James' father was John ORSON and his mother was Rebekah RASIN.  His paternal grandparents were John ORSON and Ann DIXON.  He had three brothers and a sister, named John, William, Francis and Mary.  He was the fourth oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 63 in 1869.
