Francis was born in 1805.  Francis' father was John ORSON and his mother was Rebekah RASIN.  His paternal grandparents were John ORSON and Ann DIXON.  He had three brothers and a sister, named John, William, James and Mary.  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 48 in 1853.
