Alice was born on January 10th, 1871.  Alice's father was Edward GIBBS and her mother was Susan TIMMS.  Her paternal grandparents were William GIBBS and Hannah COMPTON; her maternal grandparents were William TIMMS and Mary.  She had three brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Alfred, Oliver, Laura and Mary.  She was the youngest of the six children.  She died at the age of 69 in 1940.
