Edith was born in 1898.  Edith's father was John  Thomas DOCKER and her mother was Emma BASSETT.  Her paternal grandparents were John DOCKER and Rebecca ORSON; her maternal grandparents were Thomas BASSETT and Emma POWERS.  She had two brothers and four sisters, named Ernest, Herbert, Emily, Rosina, Lilian and Emma.  She was the fifth oldest of the seven children.
