Charles was born in 1902. Charles' father was Frederick William Murdock and his mother was Marian Chambers. His paternal grandparents were Mr Alexander Murdock and Sarah Edmundson. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Alexander, Frederick, George, Harold, Ernie, Marion "Sissie" and Eileen. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 83 on January 4th, 1985.
