Alfred George was born on June 13th, 1892 in Bishops Wood, Otterford, Somerset, England.1   Alfred George's father is Joseph Pitman and his mother is Sophia Cole.  His paternal grandparents are Alfred Pitman and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents are Richard Cole and Ann.  He had two brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, William, Ellen and Lucy.  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia at the age of 86 on July 6th, 1978 in Taunton, England.1
