Dr.Athisayamary's father is Kulandaisamy and her mother was Anthoniammal.  Her paternal grandparents are Raj Cimeon, came from Kadagathur and Madalaiammal; her maternal grandparents are Savariappan and Chinnammal. She has three brothers and a sister, named Dr.Selvanathan, Maria Sebastian, Maria Joseph and Jacintha.  She is the youngest of the five children. She has a half-brother named Mariadoss.
