Peter was born on July 10th, 1946.  Peter's father was Joseph Henry Stangl and his mother was Barbara  Elizabeth Erwin.  His maternal grandfather was Grant Erwin.  He was the second of seven children.  He had four brothers and two sisters, named Lawrence , Joseph, Timothy, Rudy, Barbara and Gretchen.  He died in an accident or as a result of an injury, drowning in the ocean,.
