Emma was born on May 29th, 1878.  Emma's father was Solomon Kappeler and her mother was Anna Trachsel/ Kappeler. She had five brothers and six sisters, named Jacob, Christ, Fred, Solomon, Simon, Elizabeth, Anna, Barbara, Elicia, Rosie and Mary. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Godfred, John, Magdalene, Flora and Millie.  She died at the age of 79 on July 10th, 1957.
