Lippnan was born on October 30th, 1858.  Lippnan's father was Abraham Holzinger and his mother was Karoline Auerbach.  His paternal grandparents were Nathan Meyer Holzinger and Perl Guggenheimer.  He had a brother and a sister, named Holzinger and Pauline.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died on October 30th, 1858.
