John's father was Joseph Morin and his mother was Emilia Perreault (Morin).  His paternal grandparents were Prosper Morin Jr and Angele Bergeron (Morin); his maternal grandparents were Urbain Perreault and Adelaide Gauvreau (Perreault).  He had six brothers and a sister, named Henry, Luc, Calix, Joeseph, Arthur, <Unknown> and Eugenie.  He died in 1925.
