Shirley Faye Hawkins (Banks)

Shirley was born on April 22nd, 1931 in Menard, Menard, Texas.¹ Shirley's father was Andrew (Drew) Roy Lewis Hawkins and her mother was Grace Elizabeth Estep (Hawkins). Her paternal grandparents were Michael (Pike) Blueford Hawkins and Mary (Molly) Ellen Crisp (Hawkins); her maternal grandparents were Roy Estep and EvaLena Curtis (Estep). She had three brothers and four sisters, named Dick, Mickey, Clayton, Helen, Tressa, Becley and Brenda. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died due to a cardiac arrest at the age of 49 on April 30th, 1980 in Farmers Branch, Texas. The funeral took place in College Mound, Texas. Her burial was in College Mound, Texas.¹¹
