Mickey was born on October 12th, 1931 in Burnett, Texas.1   Mickey's father was Andrew  (Drew) Roy Lewis Hawkins and his mother was Grace Elizabeth Estep (Hawkins).  His paternal grandparents were Michael (Pike) Blueford Hawkins and Mary (Molly) Ellen Crisp (Hawkins); his maternal grandparents were Roy Estep and EvaLena Curtis (Estep). He had two brothers and five sisters, named Dick, Clayton, Helen, Shirley, Tressa, Becley and Brenda.  He was the third oldest of the eight children.  He died from a heart attack at the age of 28 on March 23rd, 1960 in Terrell, Texas.  The funeral took place on April 30th, 1960 in Blackjack, Texas.  His burial was on April 30th, 1960 in Blackjack, Cementary.2 2
