Bridget was born in 1558. Bridget's father was Thomas Gooch and her mother was Joane. Her paternal grandparents were Peter Gooch and Unknown. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Peter, John, Elizabeth, Dorothy and Susan. She was the youngest of the seven children.
