Manfred was born on September 4th, 1068.  Manfred's father was Ulrich von Venis and his mother was Douce von Chalns.  His paternal grandfather was Ulrich von Venis.  He had a brother and three sisters, named Hesso, Maria, Brunhilde and Helene.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at 8 months old on May 17th, 1069.
