Ysbrecht was born on July 10th, 1197. Ysbrecht's father was Willem de la Cueva and his mother was Lcia de Barcelona. His maternal grandparents were Frederi de Barcelona and Tiziana. He had a brother and a sister, named Guij and Katrien. He died at the age of 16 on February 1st, 1214.
