Borivoj was born on January 1st, 1064.  Borivoj's father was Vratislav Premyslid and his mother was Swietoslawa Piast.  His paternal grandparents were Bretislav Premyslid and Judith von Schweinfurt.  He had three brothers named Vladislav, Bavor and Jodokus.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Bretislav, Boleslav, Judita, Ludmila and Domaslava.  He died at the age of 39 on December 11th, 1103.
