Sobeslav was born on April 5th, 1080.  Sobeslav's father was Gebhart Luxembourg and his mother was Judita Premyslid.  His maternal grandparents were Vratislav Premyslid and Adleta rpd.  He had a brother and a sister, named Jaromir and Judita.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 25 on December 12th, 1105.
